Security Vulnerabilities fixed in Firefox 88
- I have a batch file which silently installs Firefox and this works fine. (I add -ms to the line where I execute the installation file.). Now I want to update Firefox in the same batch file only if it's not the newest Version. The version test is already in the batch file and is working fine.
- Starting with Firefox 52 in March 2017, plugins other than Adobe Flash are no longer supported in Firefox. Firefox Extended Support Release 52 continued to support non-Flash plugins until mid-2018. Starting with Firefox 55 in August 2017, users must choose which sites are allowed to activate the Flash plugin.

Description
A race condition with requestPointerLock()
and setTimeout()
could have resulted in a user interacting with one tab when they believed they were on a separate tab. In conjunction with certain elements (such as <input type='file'>
) this could have led to an attack where a user was confused about the origin of the webpage and potentially disclosed information they did not intend to.
